I tried the Big lake, Washington for the first time.
We launched from Rainer Beach about 10am, headed north to Mercer, across from sewer-park. I setup one line at 35ft and one at 45ft with pop gear 18" leader w/ wedding-ring w/ worm. Started trolling south on the west side of mercer in 120ft of water.
I had just got ever thing setup open a pop and trolling for about 10min. When the Wife Yells FISH-FISH-ON!!!! I look up to see line going out of my reel and a fish walking on it's tail. I caught my 1st big cutt an 18 1/2". I didn't have a scale so I don't know how much it weight in at.
What a thrill. I will be coming back to this lake.
