I missed out on duck hunting today because the cable guy was coming by and my hunting partners weren't waiting. I decided not to completely waste the day after the cable guy left so I went fishing. Got to the river about noon and there was about 2" of snow on the ground. The river was up a bit with a lot more color than last weekend.
I was floating a jig the whole time I was there which was until about 4 pm. I didn't hook into any steelies but I did catch one chum. In fact I caught him twice in about 5 minutes. When I released him the first time he swam off and I checked my line for scars and re-adjusted my float. I cast back out no more than two minutes after releasing him and in the same exact spot in the hole as he hit before down went my bobber. I set the hook hoping for steel, but when I felt the slug on the other end I knew it wasn't a steely. I got the fish in and it had the same exact single scar on top of his head, so I know it was the same fish, weird!
The first pic was from today, the second is a couple of brats from last weekend on the Sky I didn't have time to write a report for.
