I went to the Puyallup to try to get a fish even though the river was still high. It had come down and the visibility was maybe 6 inches. The color was good. I was the only one there for about 5 minutes then a guy came and fished about 30 minutes and said he was going to go home. He could come back later. I told him to take a look at the fish that was on the other side of my car. It was a cleaned, bright fish that was missing the top part of its head. He came back and said it was a very nice silver that was gutted and it must have been caught this morning. So he decided to stay and we both saw a fish roll shortly after that. Then he hooked one for a minute which got off…then nothing. I started a little after 10am and left about 12:30pm. I used eggs then switched to corky and yarn with scent.

whats with the cleaned beheaded salmon? did someone clean the fish and forget it? that would suck i would have gone back for it. but then, it may have been a poached fish and the fishermen got stopped by the game warden without a license so they just left the fish so they wouldn't get caught with the fish... hmmm the world my never know. thanx for the report though :-)

I think a dog may have grabbed it and ran and ended up in the parking area, chewing off the part of the head. There were a couple of dog prints on the river bank as well as human prints. There are some prints on the skin. I don't know what to make out of them.
