Went out for a few hours this morning. Thought it wouldn't be so busy being a Monday, I was wrong... there were a lot of people out on the creek today and everyone was catching chums. It was so fun and plentiful I only left because my arm felt like it was going to fall off from slayin fish... Don't believe me??? Go out to Minter and check it out for yourself...

Take hwy 16 across the narrows, take the purdy exit and go across the purdy spit... keep going until you see "creveston rd."
Take a left onto Creveston. Go down the hill and you will see the hatchery... You can fish on either side of the hatchery... It gets packed so PLEASE be courteous to other fisherman. And go and Slay em!

They reported the same thing about Minter Creek on another board. They fished it low. Lots of people and lots of fish.

YOU PARK ALONG THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, THEN PICK EITHER ABOVE OR BELOW THE BRIDGE. THE WATER RISES WHEN THE TIDE COMES IN. A BUDDY TOLD ME THAT PEOPLE WERE FISHING OFF THE BRIDGE ITSELF.. THAT IS JUST PLAIN RIDICULOUS!

Yeah once the tide came it was pretty difficult to get a good spot on the creek. I was there yesterday and saw the 20 people fishing from the bridge. They would drop lures when fish would roll by. Once hooked they would just drag the fish up a steep slope. I even saw 1 guy fising with a fly rod from the bridge. 1 guy even foul hooked a fish in the tail and pulled it up from the bridge. They need to have a WDFW warden there cause I saw plenty fish foul hooked and taken home. Besides that fishing was crazy. Once the tide came in you could see 25-30 fish in 1 spot at a time. I'd cast my corky into that spot and you'd see a tidal wave of fish scatter. Pretty fun day, but elbow to elbow just isn't my thing. must have been 200 people there.

Both! Mom's from Manila dads from Pangasinan. Rain doesn't affect the creek at all. The creek is only about 1/4 mile long from the mouth to the hatchery and I was there almost all day and it rained most of it. Once the tide does come in though it gets pretty flooded and difficult to move around because there are several holes and cuts that are very easy to fall in. As far as looking up tides I'd use Wauna, Carr Inlet in the tide book located under Puget Sound. Puget Sound has semi-dirunal tides (2 highs ans 2 lows) so plan accordingly. The end of low tides produced the most fish cause they just pool into a hole and wait for the tide to come in to get up the creek. Good luck and tight lines!
