Went out in the morning after some silvers thought I'd get into a bright one.. got a nice little hatch hen metal head and caught some dark silvers
got one chum i thought was a steel head a first leap upon further inspection found it was in fact the brightest chum I've ever seen,
all in all they are showing up everywhere now and it looks like winter should be fun. tight lines

If the tips of the fins are white then its summer. If there black then its winter from what iv heard.

HEY YOU SNAGGER!
yeah I am talking to you , and you guys know who you are. you guys are a shame. the sadiest thing to see on the river is a salmon or steelhead taken illegally
and i see it all the time. and more and more on rivers that I have never seen it on. Every place I love is turning into the skok.
anyone can tye on a 10ft leader and snag a salmon when they feel a thump. it takes skill to pound the water until you find that one bite. nothing can explain a perfect "hunt".
You guys seriously need to learn how to fish.
The reason I am saying this is because today I saw a bright chrome Hen steelhead about 12lbs. snagged in the tail bonked and bled. and was a native fish. Nothing makes me more upset
then seeing a steelhead of all things discraced like this. Some times fishing sucks.

I have caught summer and winter run steelhead both with white and black fins.

2 1/2 to 3 feet. i never really run anything over 4 ft.

all though possible you wont willingly hook alot of steelhead with a really long leader
