Out on the Lake at 8am with a buddy, Rob, in my trusty Boston Whaler "Puffin." Lake was rough with a SW wind. Fished the east side of the north end, from Kenmore to the 520 bridge. Lots of fish on the Lowrance, from surface to 40 ft., but they were not in a biting mood. Big commas on the screen around bait fish, probably long-fin smelt. Broke in the new electric downriggers, trolling needlefish and wedding ring tipped with worm. Also trolled a fly outfit with two-three colors out. Caught a modest cutt for the frying pan and a small bow who was released. Nice day on the water once the wind abated a bit, but more action would have been nice. On a prior trip in early May, saw an eagle swoop down and grab a cutt twice the size of the one I just caught off Sheridan Beach.
