The river was higher than I have ever fished it before. I was casting to where I use to stand. Visibility was about 5 inches. Two other guys were fishing but they didn’t catch anything today. I caught two whitefish and kept one, the larger (14 inches) to see what they taste like. I fished from 11:00am to 1pm. I used corky and yarn with a clump of eggs.
I caught the whitefish on eggs with the corky and yarn but it had larger eggs in its stomach and they weren’t from me.
The whitefish tasted like trout.
