After 13 days of working I went fishing for my day off. 4 hours of fishing and I came home with a 21 inch Silver (cooked it for dinner). I used several different colors of corkies and yarn as well as eggs I cured. At the end of my fishing day I caught this male on a little red corky with a little bit of red yarn. I had used it with eggs but when the fish was hooked it didn’t have a cluster on it. It may have still smelt like eggs.
The river was higher than 2 weeks ago when I caught the steelhead but it was just as clear if not clearer.
I only saw 2 other fishermen and a little girl. One said he caught a silver earlier down stream which had to be by the mouth or on the Puyallup. None jumping but I did see an old red one swim by that was close to dying.
A bald eagle flew by as well as the gulls and ducks. It smelt like a fishy river. It was great day to be out.
