I walked down to my spot to fish by 10am. It was overcast but not raining at that time. I used red at first then switched to a pink corky with black yarn. Caught a 20’ couple pound pink (I didn’t weight it) by 11am. It was in good shape. The garbage I picked up and carried out weighted more than the fish.
Then before noon I got a large Humpy, real large hump. The hook was in the fin on his back. That was a fight trying to get him in backwards. I was able to let it go without getting it out of the water.
Since there wasn’t anyone else fishing most of the time I was there I didn’t see anyone catch fish but me.
This time I did see fish going up the rapids. Some green backed others dark.

The yarn is covering the shank of the hook. I attach the yarn through a loop just below the eye of the hook, I tie it that way, then I tighten up the loop to hold the yarn. The corky floats on the line - meaning I don't fix it with a toothpick or anything.
