Went fishing from about 9am-3pm. Caught 3 nice fish 2 were pink salmons from 18" and 21" and the other was 18" silver. All were caught using pink corky and sandshrimp. Had a real good time. Just remember that your line is probably going to get snagged up in the rocks underneath the water so remember to get extra setups. Good luck.

Plus the week before that me and my wife caught 5 speckled trout averaging 16" all using regular worms under the bridge off of wa-9. Again good luck and enjoy.

Pink retention on the Skagit? Last I checked it was closed. Unless WDFW opened the river, sounds like poaching not sportfishing.

Just reading through river reports late in the year. How kind of one of you to bring up poaching. Your choice of words is poor. Maybe lack of knowledge regarding regs better applies. I doubt a person intending to poach would let us all know about it on this site which I am sure is periodically read by members of the WDFW. Poaching or any other crime in WA State must have the element of intent ( a person's state of mind). Its unlikely the writer intended to take salmon illegally. Think before you write!
