Decided to head to Owen beach do some shore casting drills with spoons...Weather was near perfect.. slight breeze, water pretty calm and crystal clear, sky had a few clouds, caught the outgoing tide. lots of boats out on the water. I hooked into something that bent my pole and stripped lots of line on the strike then released itself. No fish seen breaking the water surface at all. The boats seemed to be doing good, they were approx 300-400ft off shore drifting.. I saw 2 boats catching a few fish... hard to see what they were but Coho I am sure. Overall I had fun... My boat gets De-winterized this coming weekend... and I am heading back!
