First time crabbing in a bay just off of the ocean on the Oregon coast and we did fabulous! Thanks to a tip about what bait to use that the seals wouldn't bother (chicken legs) and a few tips from an ex local to help dial us in we caught good numbers of keepers every day. Best time was about an hour before high tide to an hour after but we even caught a few during the fast moving flood about 3 hours before. Actually got our limit of 24 Dungeness on the last day with most being well over legal sized. Great trip!
