Since Lake Stevens doesn't kick on for Kokanee till first week of April, We looked at the weather yesterday and saw it was a great sunny day and figured we give the Black Mouth a try on the "Race Track/Camano Head". Woke up this morning and got down to the Everret Marina, launched the boat and hit the Race Track. Within 5 minuets we had our first fish in the boat, a nice 8 pound 30 incher! Using 3.0 and 3.5 spoons, dipped in Super Dipping Sauce trolled behind Red Racer flashers were the ticket. We also released about 6 subleagel chinook ( 18-21 inches), those fish were released safely to fight another day. Tight lines everybody!
