Went down on Halloween night about 7pm. I built a light setup that works on a car battery, so I was all set without needing anybody else's light. They were coming in so thick on Saturday it was literally every cast for about 90 minutes. I caught 83 total in about 3 hours. Spent 4.5 hours the next day cleaning them! :(

Still - what a great way to enjoy the bounty of the ocean. I have all the calamari cleaned, cut up, blanched and frozen - got about 7 lbs after cleaning them

When you said "They coming in so thick". I thought maybe it was your fellow squid anglers coming for your new light source, lol.

I bet that was the case too quadfather lol.. the squid are thick but so are the fisherman.

I'd trade a bright chum for whatever you think is fair!
I just don't want to have to clean the squid first - that's what takes the most time...catching them is easy!

ooops wrong date on this! Correct date was Saturday night Nov 7th. I also went Mon morning about 5:30am and got 30 by sunrise
