Arrived at North Beach right about 7am. Caught the end of the outgoing tide, most of the time fishing was during the incoming. Started slow, but as soon as the water started moving, I watched as quite a few folks limited fairly quickly. One guy a little ways west of me got a real nice fish on. Took out at least 50 yards of the guys line as it sped down the beach. Saw it surface a few times and thought he might possible have a Chinook on. Fish finally tired and he was able to beach it. Real nice Coho, all of 8 pounds easy, possibly getting to 10, Real nice fish. Unfortunately for me, I had to really work at my fish today. I finally did get a hook up and a nice bright hen. Put up a fun fight before I was able to coax her to the beach, bonk it, and put it on ice. Weighed 5.15lbs on the scale. The action up and down the beach I would rate a 5. For me personally, it was a 2 star day. Watching someone play a real nice Coho on a little trout pole bumped my score to 3. Upon cleaning the fish noticed her stomach was full, curious I had to take a look. She was loaded with shrimp. Almost makes me wonder if Shrimp under a float would work.
