Went to North Beach this morning. Saw the ominous forecast but said what the heck. A little rain is easy to deal with. Got there at 6:30. Soon after got 1 average length, but skinny hen. A little bit later got a fish on that put up a fun fight, stripped some line etc. This was a very fat hen. It had been raining most of the morning. Soon after landing my 2nd fish, the wind just started howling. I tried to stick it out, but it was impossible to fish with that much wind. It created so much slack in the line. Lure might be straight out from you but your line made a half circle from you to the lure. There was no way the lure was doing what it's supposed to. Tried to fight through the wind for about an hour, but I knew it was useless, and forecast were for it to just get worse. So I packed up and headed home. Using a pink 2in buzz bomb lathered with Mike's Shrimp Oil. Rain I can deal with, the wind was a game-breaker though today. Might try again tomorrow. With the rain and low pressure system I imagine the fish will start pushing hard into the rivers over the next week..
