Decided to take van w/o boat down to Muykilteo boat launch Area to see how busy it was. WOW, what a mess. With low tide two vans w/boats had to be pulled up the launch ramp. Decided not to get boat and to try crabbing off pier next to ferry.
Spent a few hours on pier tossing out crab rings. NO KEEPERS. Caught several females and a few small rockers. Area was seeing a lot of action but no keepers from the half dozen crabbers on both piers.
Looks like I will wait until after holiday weekend and try to launch boat in mid-week (not Tues or Wed - of course).

Why were they stuck? Bad launch with gravel? Never been there so I am searching for acceptable launch sites. Thx.

One of the "worst launches around" period in my opinion. Short(ish) ramp so you can get stuck spinning tires on seaweed and/mud. If water is rough it can be a (you insert word here) to get boat onto trailer.

Yukilteo has the worst launch around. They should re-name it the Bearing Sea Boat Launch *lol* Everett's good. Kayak Point park has a launch and a pier.
