Fished out of Westport today. Swells weren't bad but it was pretty choppy with the wind waves. Trolled in 180 feet if water west of the windmills with spoons, hoochies and herring at various depths between 20 and 160 feet deep. Lots of bait in the area with most of it between 40 and 70 feet. That's also where the bites came with most bites on herring or hoochies. Lots of smaller coho and it seemed like we had a hard time getting them to stick, unless they were wild of course. Released 7 wild fish and went home with two small coho in the 7-8 pound range. We were probably 50/50 between hits and misses.
Lots of whales out today!
