Got to take my son Matt and DIL Veronica out for her first time squiding. We were joined by my friend Robbie. We squided from 5pm to 8pm. Conditions were pretty good - calm winds, low 40s. Still cold by 8pm. The tides weren't the best, HT at 3:30pm so when we first started it was running fast.
Usual squid gear, we ran either two or three jigs. The action on the pier was slow. The most I saw anyone have was 6. Pretty good size to the ones that were caught. Veronica got her first ever squid so that was exciting for her.
All in all a nice relaxing evening on the pier. I always enjoy squiding and the cultural diversity that shows up.

My father in law, Rodney Tuguchi, former head chef at Canlis, will be pan frying in olive oil, garlic, and salt and pepper as a Christmas appetizer, :-)

Nothing like some Saltwater hand eye coordination to get some squid into the bucket. After watching you on the water Mike the "White Jig" Carey, I'm sure you filled that bucket up. Thanks for sharing.
