We started about noon and left Shilshole and had the crab pots soaking a few days in area 9 by the Spanish house, got our 10 crab for the 2 of us. Decided to troll a bit on the way back to launch,started just north of the oil dock trolled to Richmond beach picked up one legal Blackmouth just south of docks 130ft. Weather started to change so cruised back to Shishole bay, trolled edge of the flat twards west point, picked up one more Keeper before rain moved in. Both fish were caught on white double glow spoons 3.0 and white double glow flashers 4 ft leaders, bouncing bottom pretty much,there is bait in both areas and most of it is squid"i no this cause I tried to mooch a few days ago and squid would chew my bait every time I went to bottom. also caught a few on herring." if you have good sonar you can tell the difference between herring and squid"This was the first day in awhile I have tried for balckmouth in 10, there are some fish around , its not as good as 9 was when it was open but they are there.Both fish were caught with no tide change so leads me to believe that they are around."Remember if you want to catch feeder kings always stay in the mudd pretty much and find bait"!
