Launched out of Everett around 11:30 with inlaws that are visiting from Guam and my family. Headed to Hat Island and dropped 3 pots all around 50-60ft deep then got set up to troll for Blackmouth. Trolled 2 rods in 100-115 ft of water and fish finder showed gear was down 90-100 ft depending on depth. One rod was running a Luhr Jensen uv flasher and green splatter back Ace Hi fly and other was running a Gibbs red racer flasher and a white lightning King fisher spoon. Caught and released a 16" blackmouth on the ace hi fly and a small shaker blackmouth on the spoon. No keepers today, but we pulled pots and had 2 keeper dungeness and 2 keeper red rock crabs. Fish checker at 2:30 said 17 boats counted so far and only fish caught was a chum. On the way back to Everett my outboard (2014 mercury 30hp 4 stroke) was running funny. It would run at wot for a while, then bog down like i was backing off the throttle. Made it back fine but I will need to investigate before the next trip. Good luck out there.

I don't know what your motor problem is but you might try non ethanol gas. I switch this year and I think my Yami's run better. There is a non ethanol gas station on Broadway in Everett that has reasonable prices. Click on this link, WA at the bottom and you will find directions.

I will look into that gas. I usually just put costco gas in the tank. How does the price differ on the non ethanol stuff? The metal bar that operates the float and gauge on my tank keeps comming apart and it floats around in the tank. Think it may have been cutting off the fuel flow, but not positive.

You may have change out your fuel filter. Sounds like your just not getting fuel.

The last time I gassed up with E0 at the station in Everett was at the end of Oct and I think it was 3.50 a gal. E0 is usually a little more but worth it in my opinion. The gas dock at the Everett Marina also has E0 but they charge way too much. I think their price was 4.25 in Sept. I did gas up there in Sept but I didnt have a choice since my boat was moored there back then. In the boat section of the forum there is a discussion about E0.
