Put boat in about 0900. We were out mostly just to kill time, because we knew that 9"-11" Rainbow planters
were the primary fish available. Started out by trolling. Kirk was trollng with a 2.5" Gold with frog pattern needlefish w/end flipper. He had several strikes
in about 1/2 hour, brought in two. I was trolling with red/yellow "Turbo Power Bait" met with negative results. Then I tried a 1" "yellow Dicknite" with various colored
Finally, we spotted a school in 13' of water at 11'. So we floated
Turbo with power eggs on 30" leaders, we caught fish. Two fellows in a river boat near us caught a nice at least 17" hold over. You guys (I'm not PC) might as well jump in and help catch these fish or the
Cormorants will eat'em all up. At least by being out there you keep the cormorants away. It is too bad the State is letting the fish go so early.
All they are doing is feeding cormorants so they can go over to the Pot Holes and make more cormorants that come back here next year and eat more planters.
