Fished from 0600 to 0830 this morning casting from shore with a green rotator paired with a pink mini squid. I saw about six smaller sized fish landed then around 0730 it was my turn. Got what looked to be about a 9-10 lb fish to the edge of the water and a nice guy next to me tried to net it but the beast wasnt ready. It popped the hook and was on it's merry way. The jumpers stopped showing and the bite stopped at 0800. Looks like Whidbey is starting to heat up finally.
