In general, the fish at WP are headed south to the big river and not north to the Puget Sound. Exceptions to every rule of course. I'm hearing some good stuff from the Columbia now for those that need calmer or more predictable waters.

7/9/2014 4:12:00 PM100 ft of water is only six miles out of the harbor . It is a minor miracle you found them in that close.

@snatchinglips, I'm in a 19' seaswirl.
@reelinanrockin, I found more fish in 50' than I did in 100'. We were 10 miles north of the harbor, and 1 mile offshore. It's a miracle!

7/11/2014 1:51:00 PMdo you typically need to be quite a ways off shore when out there? 6 miles seems like quite the trek out into the deep blue sea.
