Fished Les Davis Pier from about 1pm to about 3pm. Got one good bite on herring. Any suggestions on what to use and/or how to fish it?

perhaps try using pile worms. may have to go to pt. defiance to collect them off the docks.

Try throwing a chartreuse buzz bomb out there or perhaps try a whole herring under a float...Toni is right, hit the incoming tide. Your chances are a heck of a lot better off of the bank down at the Claybanks. Try that instead of the pier.

I have fished the golden gardens pier for flounder and I slay them on nightcrawlers, just a weight and hook and a worm them drop it down and slowly walk down the pier and drag it across the bottom or at least keep your bait moving. good luck

Using pile worms is illegal if you dig them out of Washington. Anyways use a dropshot rig with 1/2 oz weight and a piece of nightcrawler also use a smaller weight above your hooks to lay it flat on the bottom. Flounder will hit within minutes of hitting the bottom. If no bites real in a little and let it sit a few minutes. Recast and repeat. You should have no problem catching flatfish that way

Like thefishwhisperer said keep it moving along the bottom but also let it sit at times
