We fished the banks on the tail end of out tide til 8 without a bump, picked up a friend and ran to the west side of vashon. On one drift we went 0/1, w the fish decimating my year old 12lb line. I am used to fishing light, but today old line cost us.

Realizing this we trolled the beach for cutts and residents back around toward the ferry landing, went 1/2 with my girls line breaking from a skinny fish that was maybe 18". That line was toast. At that point we played, the sun was finally out, and we even saw dudes dolphin in the afternoon.

Lesson to all, last years line probably won't cut it come spring.
