Went down to Hoodsport today. Arrived about 11AM.
I walked out to take a look at what was going on and the place was covered in nets and boats. I had no idea there was tribal netting on Tuesdays and Thursdays. They were literally on the river delta at a relatively low tide with fish spread all over. It was a real eye opener. I'd never seen anything like it.
I ended up catching 5 fish in a little over 3 hours, but the fishing essentially ended when they dragged a net 20 yards in front of me that was the length of a football field.
Oh and as a scouting report for folks interested in eggs, I caught 4 hens and all of them had eggs falling out of them as I unhooked them before I released them.
Also, beware that next week they net on Monday and Wednesday because of Thanksgiving. :(
