Went out tuna fishing from Westport on a 6 pack charter. Met up at 5:30AM at the boat and were under way by 6AM. On the grounds by about 7:30-8. Water was pretty rough with what felt like big swells with wind, but that didn't detour anyone onboard. Dropped the troll rods into the water and started trolling within 5 minutes BAM the middle rod running the cedar plug starts screaming another guy grabs that rod, we get the troll rods out of the way and deploy bait rods. 2-3 fish picked up before we start to troll again. within 5 minutes BAM the cedar plug goes off again. I grab this rod and after 15 minute battle get this fish boarded. started a bait stop and it was lights out, we ;lugged both fish holds and even put a few in the cooler before the boat was at capacity. We boated 46 tuna in 4 hours. Triples were the norm until the boat was full. By noon we were heading back to the basin. I took 8 tuna home which filled my 2 coolers.
