Put the boat in the water at 0545 and fishing by 0600. Foggy with light sprinkels. Started using a diver/flasher/herring rig and my buddy started with the same but using a pink squid. Right off the bat I had one and as soon as it was on it came off. Re baited and sent it back down. 30 minutes later landed a little hatchery silver. My buddy decided to switch to herring as well and the slaying began. Had a few double hook ups and lost 7 or 8 fish and had several other nibbles. Ended up putting 4 in the cooler. 2 silvers and 2 pinks. Would have been a 5 day but my friend was only able to get one on the boat. We both had lots of fun anyhow.
