On Tuesday I pulled up about the same time as Monday but there was only 3 people in line and there was parking on the side so that is where I went. We stood at the gate until it opened with others and met Ralph. An older gentleman who was trying this for the first time. So we took him out with us and I gave him a couple Wannafish A Lure jigs even though he had the cheaper squid skirted jigs. Today is why we get there and stay all day. It was pretty good. A few in the early morning but it was about 11am when they just started coming and 5 or more may be caught at the same time. My brother got his limit first, pinkpole got 3 and I had my 4th on by 1pm but the hook came out in the net, fish is in the net, and I am rejoicing. The net hits the top rail and tips the fish right back into the water. I don’t get my fourth until almost 2pm. I caught all of mine but the last one with a DPS 5 but it was worn out so I switched to a DPS Rabbit White Head. Dave from California came up from the shore just as I was getting ready to leave. He showed me a picture of his 32 pound king he caught back home. His dad, who was using a Wannafish A Lure jig, on the dock had 3 and Dave got 3. My brother used a DPS 1 while pinkpole used a new creation with a red head. It may become DPS “The Red Head”.
After noon I finally got a look at the boat that was catching fish and it was “Bay Wolf” so I shouted and waved. They waved back. Later he told me they only got 5. The dock did better. But I think if one figured out how many anglers and the amount of space they take up compared to 2 anglers in a boat it may come out even. But I am not a mathematician. I can safely give this a 5 out of 5 day.
Since it was fairly early and I had energy I was thinking of all I could do after I got things cleaned and put away. Then I heard this ticking sound like a rock in my tire tread. But it wasn’t it was a piece of metal stuck in between the tread like a dagger. The tire was flatter than flat. The spare was put on after taking all the fishing gear out and putting it on the sidewalk. That tire was toast but I got 100% replacement.
The tides were: High 4:10 AM 11.4 Low 10:52 AM -1.6 High 5:48 PM 12.2 Low 11:35 PM 4.0
