Well I just had to go and throw some hunks of heavy metal into the water and see if anything was dumb enough to strike at it. They weren't. I got to my spot on the beach at 0435 and there were around 5 people already there. I saw two Coho one 9 and the other 11 inches pulled ashore. The smaller of the two was released. Still a little early for pinks I think. I will (try to) wait another week at least before I give'er another go. Watching the sunrise made the trip worth it.

I fished Edmonds on the 1st for Cohos all day and not a single bite. We trolled all over the place, different depths and nothing. Maybe another couple of weeks before they come in. I heard of a coho caught yesterday on the west bar of possession...

Is it legal to fish for pinks in birch bay? My friend and i are going there july 12 and wanted to do some fishin!
