Well on our way out to the Hoh River we stopped in Westport to hit the Jetty for a couple of hours. For the time we spent there we had great luck! We started out fishing for bait, and in short order had our first ling on the line! With the first 15 minutes, a nice 6 pounder hit our sand shrimp. After that, it was greenling for bait. Our first greenling on the big hook bagged us a nice 6 pound 12 ounce cabezon, and then we lost another nice sized ling at the net. After the tide slacked, the bait bite died down and we got our last ling of the day on a squid jig. The wind started to pick up, so we packed up and headed out to the peninsula to try for some nice native steelhead C&R.
