Last salt trip for Coho I think. Knowing it is coming to an end fast we gave it one more shot. Out at first light we slowed and looked at the group fishing the ferry line of Muk. Nota net so South we went. Halfway down we dropped in, in short order my Buddy is on again with that damn, dark dirty old off Green Hoochi. Just in the net off the back of the boat the hooks popped ou, nice save JIMBO. Nice coho, we continue South to the ship wreck line. BOOM he's on again and big fish. Peeling line, I pop off and up my gear, and get riggers clear, start my turn to keep fish inside and CHOMP. Seal has it by the tail, I spin the boat around and full speed ahead to try and save the gear. Just as we get on top of it the flasher pops out of the water missing the Hoochi that has been the winner all season. If you were out there you heard my buddy singing like a mad Man. Seen 4-5 nets and more seals than I ever have. The water is dirty dark and stale. We need Fresh water and a lot of it. Talked to a boat at the wash station that said they got there 4. Been fun, come on rain and river fishing will be next.

I think you are right, coming to the end. I fished yesterday around the Shipwreck, 2 rods, lost one silver at the boat and had another takedown, both early, no more silver action. And then around noon, we had a violent takedown right off the Wreck and landed a big old nasty 19 pound male Chum. Bright but big old teeth! Getting late if Chums are showing. I did hear rumors that Possession is better, maybe later run south sound fish?? I'm going to try and troll the lower Sno tomorrow, Lowell up to the town of Snohomish.

Chum in salt, WAHOOO, that water is brown and stale, it needs fresh RAIN. We watched the purse'n boats head out West on Monday.
