Stayed close to home, went to Pic Nic Point Park for first time, to fish for Coho. Cast a chartreuse Rotator all day... no takers, no followers. Were about a dozen fishermen when I arrived at about 8:00AM, at least half were fly fishing. For as far as I could see, north and south, were a bazillion boats of every size and every shape. The Edmonds Coho Derby in full swing!! Fishermen rotated on and off the beach all morning long, but by noon I was all by myself. I wanted to fish the out-going tide in the early afternoon, the tide change came a little after noon, so I stayed until 2:00PM. About 1:00PM I watched the only fish I saw caught all day, brought in on a boat about 200 yards out front. About the same time I saw schools of bait fish jumping about 100 yards out front, so there were some fish in the area, but, again, none came close to my lure. Pursue Tight Lines!
