It was a -3.3 around noon on the fourth. I went to Tolmie to see if geoducks were to be found. My buddy and I searched high and low, but alas no geoducks or even horse clams. We dug a couple of large holes just to be sure-- they were all bentnose clams. The beach has a healthy population of cockles though, which is what a lot of the commercial crabbers use in their pots in the Sound. I didn't harvest any, but I'll keep that in mind for the future! A lot of manila clams are present there too.
