Fished on the west side of the bar this morning and got lucky. Could not catch any live bait and had to be at work by 10am so we just used herring and had great success. We drifted in 50ft- 70ft of water and were able to land 8 total lings the largest was 42 inches the two we kept were 28 and 32 inches. All I used was a 12inch dropper with 8 oz of lead, 5ft 40lb leader and 2 5/0 hooks . Thanks to the boys at Three Rivers Marine for getting me on the fish.
