4/23/2012 7:26:00 PMThe walk is about 5 minutes from parking lot to jetty, and about 30-40 minutes of rock hopping on the jetty to get to my desired spot. There are fish all along the jetty though!

Woowee. The fish sure are active off the jetty. I was fished from about 9-12 Sunday morning. Using mainly small dark-colored jigs (3-inch I think) I limited-out (10) on black rockfish and released about as many small ones. I lost two lings as well. One ambushed a small rockfish I was reeling in directly beneth the bolder I was standing on. I tried to let him swallow it a bit, but without net in hand (it was of course about 10 rocks behind me) I lost it while trying to drag it up the side of a rock. The other lingcod, to my suprise, hit one of the small jigs. It managed to throw the hook after a brief battle. Got a real good look at both; 26-28 inch range.
Things were hoppin'! It seemed most people were having success with whatever they were targeting, whether it be rockfish, lings, greenlings, or all of the above. ... I already want to go back!
I also participated in the annual "crab derby" event Saturday evening where commercial crabbers drop their open ocean catch in the PACKED boat basin for dock-goers to catch. Caught two on razor clam guts, rockfish carcasses, and scraps from a few silvers.
