For a surprise today, my dad picked me up from school. I noticed we had the rods in the back of the car, I asked where we were going and he said it was a surpise. We headed to Fort Casey for some saltwater steel action.
We got to our spot down from the trail, two other people were there for the last 3 hours of the outgoing tide. First ten minutes, one of the other guys hook into one one and landed it. We didn't get any luck until an hour later. I hook into one less than 10 feet in front of me, it was like a silver bullet going for my bush point special. I was full of adrenaline. It just hammered it, I mean it was way deep into the throat with one hook completeley invisible. Today was amazing, I caught my first saltwater steelhead.
