Thought the dogs would be showing at Hoodsport. Grabbed our gear and me and my bf headed over there. No parking means the hatchery is going to be packed. Found about 30 fisherman lined up. At first there wasnt a spot to fish. So we watched for awhile, waited for the tide to go out and open up more space. The water was boiling with fins. thousands of chums. Ive fished here during the pink season and never saw the number of fish we saw. Every cast fish on. Me and my bf only kept the fish that we hooked in the mouth. People were literally fishing with a weight and corkie sitting on the bottom. There are so many fish that theyd hook themselves when swimming past the corkie. Quite a few bright chum still too. It was a lot of fun. We fished with little black jigs. The chum hate them i suppose.
