Started in the Westport harbor trying for salmon. The seals were killing them, you could see them swimming around but no luck for me. The blatant snagging was getting to me, I mean really, just lead with a treble hook? Seen that setup on at least 3-4 rods. So headed out to the jetty. Firt and Second cast shown in the pic. Then lost a few in the rocks, started to rain so called it a day.

Whoa, that's a big greenling! The other a black rockfish yes (looks like it)? GOOD eats! Thanx for ther pic. How hairy was the jetty this time of year? Don't think my wife would let me out there LOL. Much better than the Ocean shores jetty though!

Hahahaha! Nice fish! Those must beat the world record by a good five pounds! They're both greenling, knot, just a male and female.

3lb 8 oz is the state record for greenling, Id say you caught yourself a state record there, the other record for greenling is 3lb 14 oz and was caught by speargun, hopefully you got some measurements, damn nice catch!
