A real windy day but we got 2 limits of coho, marked fish about 6-7lbs each. 2 males and 2 females. I fish released also, several others lost. A seal took one from a friend friday. 4 fish came on chartruese and one on a copper mepps aglia. The chartrueses colors were mixes of blue fox vibrax, mepps aglia, wordens vibrix. Im attempting to upload pics, we'll see how it goes. Another boat launched the same time we did then was back on the trailer when we came back to Salsbury Point. They didn't have anything but after talking to us they decided to give it another try but locked themselves out of the truck.

@ jimbo. I've been doing this at a few different places for about 12 years. 3 places in Hood Canal and in front of Chambers Creek estuary. We use size 2-4 Mepps, Bluefox, Flash Glos, spoons and a bunch of generic stuff we think looks good. It should work anywhere by a creek mouth. The last time humpies came through we slammed them by the mouth of the Puyallup, didn't seem to hang around this year though.

Looks like you've been doing good. I think we might try it up there this Friday if we don't go down to Cowlitz or the mouth of the Lewis on my dad's friends boat, haven't fished Salsbury Point in a couple years off the boat. So were you tossing the spinners by creek mouths below the bridge or just throwing them around the Salsbury Point area?

@ jbball50, we've seen some caught in front of salsbury and that other side by the res but mostly fishing in gamble. my dad went up yesterday and lots jumping but they couldn't land any. another boat snagged a black king which got away and kept an old really dark silver. lots of bright ones still. i'm going friday.

Thanks, I'll probably see you out there then, I think we're just going to try going up there and troll around.

@ jball50, were you in the old boat that may have been built in the 50s by the ramp? the only others I saw out there were tribal.
