A friend took me and my daughter out Friday and overall was a good day. Got in the water around 5:30A, motored down to Mukilteo, put the gear in the water and started trolling south. First fish on about 5-10 minutes later. It was a large one, didn't get a clear look cause we lost it. Shortly after we started hooking a few here and there. The bite stopped just around shipwreck. We continued to troll south just past picnic point and then turned around. As soon as we headed north past shipwreck, the bite turned on again. We initially had 2 lines in (two downriggers) but decided to use a 3rd with a diver in the middle. That paid off and that one got 2 fish, one of the larger ones we caught too.
The interesting thing was the fish were at all depths. The 2 downriggers were as deep as 50ft to 110ft when fish were caught. The diver only about 35ft. So, the only advice I have is spread them out. As for lures, hoochies and spoons with hoochie skirts.
Total of 10 fish for us. Bled, cleaned, and iced right away made for excellent table fare. Sorry, no photos.
