Wow.....It was a Hump-fest for about an hour around slack current this morning. At 8:20 it was cool, foggy, and a little windy. The beach had fishermen lined up about every ten feet. 10 or so boats just out of casting range, And everybody was catching fish. Most were fishing pink buzz bombs. I caught 2 right away on a pink 2 inch buzz bomb, and decided it was a good time to try other things as well. Crocodile spoons, and pink P-line jigs also caught fish.
I could look in either direction and see 4 to 6 others hooked up, and fish were jumping everywhere from 10 feet to 100 feet off the beach. Some of the trollers just stopped and started casting toward the beach.
It lasted from about 45 minutes before slack until the current started moving east.....then the fish were off and headed for the Skagit and Stilly.
My computer is down, and my wife's does not have a card reader, so I can't upload pics today.
Drove by West Beach on my way out, and people over there were packing out fish as well.
