‘I got to the dock at 5:30am and I was first in line at the gate. I was anticipating a great day of catching. I didn’t do badly but for a few hours I had 50% of the fish that were caught on the dock. That was sad! I saw just 2 schools before noon. One was made up of just 5 and the other about 20. Catching did pick up from about 12-1 but the water was murky so I couldn’t see any schools. The strange part is that the catching was at different areas of the dock at the same time. Several schools or one massive one? I don’t know. I was then concerned that the run was closing down. Others wondered if they were just going up the river because it rained on Monday. The crabbing was interesting with every pull having crabs. Even dungies but they were either to small, female, or soft shell.
I came away with 2 salmon and kept 3 rock crab.
An interesting thing about one of the fish I caught. Someone on the back side of the dock side there was a single fish swimming pass him under the dock. I saw it and casted, jigged, and caught it, a lone male.
The tides were Low 8:38 AM -0.2 High 4:28 PM I was there 5:30 to 2:00. It was sunny and got to about 80.
