The weather report said 50% chance of rain and 10-15 mph winds. Glen and Cami of F24 were going to text me depending on what the weather was going to be like when they looked out in the morning. At 4:21am I get the text “Weather doesn’t look too bad – still going fishing. Launch at 5:30-5:45 ?” We first went and helped out a boat whose engine quit. We towed them back to the launch. Then we were off to Pt Dalco to troll toward the Girl Scout camp. Shortly after starting we got hit with a double. While Cami brought in hers, mine was taking line. They were looking at hers and unhooking it because it was too small and I was looking at the back of mine with its black spots, waiting for the net. Glen was trying to size it up waiting for the net. Yep it is big enough. 26 inches 6.37 pounbds. It was netted and in the boat caught on a Wannafish A Lure Coho Mojo and a strip of herring leather. We trolled around there for a while. Saw some deer by the girl scout camp. Then went over to Owens beach area where Glen had a bite but no hook up. Then he caught a dog fish. We had a friendly visit from the Coast Guard to which we passed their exam. Very good day on the water. We were in the area that seemed to be the only area that had blue skies until it was time to leave. The Pt. Dalco area had some wind and waves but it wasn’t bad. The high tide was at 6:05am 10.5 feet - low tides was 1:04pm -2.4 feet.

nice karma on helping out a fellow boater Toni! we did the same thing springer fishing and were rewarded with a 10am limit of springers. Is that the Narrows launch or Pt. Defiance? thanks for the report as I plan on getting out there in the next week or so but usually launch at Redondo.
