Very nice load you got there. Wow, 125' that is a bit deeper than the 70-80' I usually go. Looks like it worked well for you though.

Quad, I live in Tacoma and really could never figure out the crabbing at Nisqually because to the depth and lots of current running through there. Have any tips on doing it there? Spots? Do you weight your pots? Just put down at the tide change? How do the tides there differ from what is shown at the Narrows Bridge? Appreciate your thoughts Lee

I usually fish only on the tide change starting 45 minutes before slack and pick up 45 minutes after slack. i use 5Lb weight in my pots check out the links page on this site for tides it will give you the tides for for that area or any area you want I hope this helps .

Great post! I'd love to go get some of those crabs too, but where do you go around here w/out a boat? I've been crabbing in Seaside, OR off of the bridge, and from the river bank, but never in WA. Report says the mouth of the Nisqually-- this is near the Lacey/Olympia area right? Not too familiar with the area, but please let me know. Congrats.

Possible to fish off the jetty at Westport without a boat but not in Puget Sound that I know of. Years ago you could walk at low tide and score but those days are over as far as I know.
