Fished outside of Chambers Creek starting around 1:30pm on Saturday. Jigged Pt Wilsons for a while and then switched to some gulp curly tails to play with the flounder at slack tide.
There were hundreds of sole in less than 20ft of water and we could watch them following and taking the bait. My buddy had his GoPro camera under the water watching the sole, when along comes a Chinook to look at what's going on. Chinook swam around 3 or 4 times to look at the bait (the sole had eaten off the tail), then he took off for deeper water.
On the incoming tide we tried trolling and then switched back to Pt Wilsons. No luck with the Chinook, but I did have a game clip FULL of sole to take home to the woman to clean.
Sole, small cabezons, and sculpin were in abundance.
Paddled up to the barrier damn around high tide, and didn't see anything in the fish ladder.
