Ole and I started at 5am along the banks. He ran a army truck spoon and I used a green splatter back hootchie , both behind flahers. Tried different depths as the sun came up, continuing to go deeper. At 8:30 , 120 ft down on the cable,Ole nailed a 15 # wild king in front of Owens beach. Had all it's fins , so back it went. On the bright side, the seals didn't get it.
Saw a lot of moochers catching fish and least half of them fighting seals for it. They're as bad as I've ever seen out there. Why hunt when you can wait until someone hooks up and then steal it.
