On Saturday I went out as "crew" for shrimp with my friend PeterD, his brother Anthony, dad George and neice Kaitlin. The launch at Everett was kind of a zoo, but went fairly rapidly. Due to that delay we didn't get our first pot down until about 7:30. The forecast was for rain and wind, so I had layers and full rain gear on from the start... good choice! Started kind of windy and lots of rain, but actually got pretty nice by noon.
We tried a couple of different depths before homing in on fairly shallow depths this year. We had pulls of 10 or so at first, then got into 30-40 per pot with one pot over 60. We had 400 shrimp cleaned and on ice and headed back to the ramp by 1:00. We heard that the shrimping wasn't so hot out at Possession due to the currents. The fish checker had about half of the folks with limits overall.
