We hit the water at 4:30 PM. My buddy Scott and I used poppers casting into the pads on the South side of the lake. We had no luck after about 15 minutes. I suggested that we move around the bend on the West side. We found a couple nice spots, and continued with the poppers, and still no bass. I switched to a rooster tail, and still no luck. Scott went to a nice looking Rapala with no luck. He followed that up with a worm and bobber. He got a couple of bites, but no solid hits. I set up to go the bottom with some orange power bait. I got one bite. I pulled up, and recast, and within two minutes, I got a solid hit, and pulled in a 10" rainbow. Scott immediately copied my rig and some pink power bait. He cast out, and was there no more than a minute when he pulled in a 12" rainbow. We stayed with that setup until we headed back in at 8 PM.
